Brigid's Hearth Autumnal Simmer Pot
A walk in the woods over damp leaves giving themselves over to their death purpose and becoming sturdy yet forgiving earth beneath your feet. Morning dew dripping swaying across each shingle of cedar leaves. A warm coffee in a tin mug as the sounds of your camp slowly fade away, carried elsewhere by the gentle chilled wind. An orange and raisin scone warmed inside your jacket by nothing more than your body’s natural heat—by your own internal fire.
She visits you there inside yourself—flaming red hair the color of fallen maple leaves, a long evergreen gown, smelling blissfully of a distant pine wood hearth fire and fresh apple cobbler. Mother Brigid meets you in your meditation, encourages your healing, and assuages your doubts and ceaseless self-critical thoughts. On this bright autumn morning, you rest in her love, free to simply exist as part of the ephemeral dance of death becoming life becoming death.
We strongly encourage using the leftover simmer pot water to wash your doorways and floors; we are also fond of throwing a small pinch of the blend into a burning hearth fire for protection and abundance. Any and all of the remains of the simmer pot can be used in compost.
